Riddle of Steel

Avatar: The Last Airbender

With having two children under the age of ten I come into contact with most of the popular kids television shows. Some are interesting and some I have to leave the room when they come on the TV.

However a couple I make sure I am around to watch as I enjoy them as much as my two boys. Last night we all, including the wife, sat and watched the new Avatar: The Last Airbender series. From a martial arts perspective I have enjoyed watching how the creators have merged different styles of Chinese martial arts with the bending skills. If you enjoy martial arts and anime or even a good story and a combination of all three give the show a try.

  1. It’s probably one of the best shows I’ve ever seen on Nickelodeon. Shame the series is coming to an end. :( But it was a good run.

  2. I agree, Nick has had some good shows and some really horrible shows. I think they were also surprised how the show reached out to the young and the old. Clearly the fans were not with great characters, excellent art and packaged in a really good story line. Shame to see it come to an end but it was indeed a good ride.
