Legion of the Damned – Games Day Italy
| from Games Workshop Newsletter
Incoming! Legion of the Damned Today at Games Day Italy we unveiled the all-new metal Legion of The Damned models. The Legion of The Damned are Spaces Marines in appearance. Their black armour is adorned with chilling images of bone and fire, and an eerie glow suffuses their sable armour and a halo of ghostly fire dances about their feet. Considered by some to be an extension of the Emperor’s superhuman will and by others as the vengeful and immortal spirits of fallen Space Marines, Damned Legionnaires fight with a chill precision few mortal warriors can match.
Out in January, the Legion of The Damned are an Elite Space Marine unit who can always Deep Strike and can even opt to re-roll the deep strike scatter dice. Also, their 3+ saving throw is invulnerable. |
Blood Angels Codex Rumors
Rumors are starting about a new GW Codex for Blood Angles right after the Tyranid book is released. Seen on The Bolter and Chainsword
The BA ‘dex is DONE and complete already.
-New conversion kits similar to the ones made for the space wolves. These kits are said to be EXTRAORDINARY (I mean.. beautiful!), with a level of detail similar to that of the models in space hulk (or even better). (PS this seems quite certain, it has been confirmed by my local GW seller, who also stated some big news about BA may be revealed at the italian games day).
SOME informations about the rules
-The codex will allow the player to field a top notch assault army: assault squads will be a troop choice, with options similar to those of the new gray hunters in the SW dex: 2Xspecial weapons and no heavy weapons at all (of course). Sergents will be similar to those of the SM dex (more options: tunder hummer, LC and such).
- a psionic power called “vortex of blood”, or something like that, will give the caster a CC attacks bonus equal to the number of models in base contact (or even in combat radius?! but it would be too powerful..)
-New indipendent characters.
I can’t assure these rumors are true, of course. I just TRIED to translate them in english and posted them here.
Ah, date of release: march, after the tyrs.
40K: Ultramarine the Movie
Games Workshop is to be releasing a 70 minute movie on the Ultramarines. Be sure to check out Ultramarine the Movie
Space Wolves – Advance Order!
The Space Wolves are the most fierce and barbaric of all the Space Marine Chapters. They are proud, ferocious warriors who like nothing more that to feast and slay in their Primarch’s name. With an all-new Codex, two new multi-part plastic sets and three new metal models there’s never been a better time to collect the descendants of Russ.
Ace of Cakes – Squig cake
Be sure not to miss tomorrow nights Ace Of Cakes were they will be showing the squig cake made for Games Day.

Advance Order: Space Hulk
Release Date September 5th Retails: $99.00
Advance Order: Space Hulk To celebrate the 20th anniversary of our classic board game, the Studio has created a brand-new version of Space Hulk. This lavish, limited-edition run includes 35 all-new miniatures that have been specifically sculpted for this set.

From the depths of space an ancient vessel drifts slowly towards the Imperium of Mankind – a space hulk. Within its confines, untold thousands of Genestealers slowly emerge from hibernation. The Space Marines must enter the cramped corridors and tomb-like chambers of the ancient ship to defeat this alien menace.
Space Hulk is a board game for two players, recreating the battles fought between the Space Marines and Genestealers. One player commands the Space Marines as they carry out deadly missions in the ancient Space Hulk, and the other commands the horde of Genestealers opposing them. Space Hulk’s fast-paced rules simulate the tense atmosphere of a mission deep inside the cramped confines of a derelict space hulk, where split-second decisions are needed for victory.
This boxed game contains: a 23-page Rulebook, a 47-page Mission book and 35 finely-detailed, plastic Citadel miniatures, including: 11 Space Marine Terminators, one Space Marine Terminator Librarian, 22 Genestealers, and one Broodlord.
Also included are: 105 gaming counters, 24 corridors, 10 rooms, eight crossroads, eight T-junctions, six corner sections, four dead ends, four end pieces, 20 doors with plastic stands, one mission status display, and three plastic mission objectives, including: a dead Space Marine on throne, a Blood Angels artefact and a Cyber-Altered Task Unit. Plus a sand timer and five bone-coloured dice unique to this game.
